Guinea pigs on the autistic spectrum?
Is it possible that they're at all like that? I have two, and ever since I got them (knew nothing about cavies before) I've noticed that they do so many things like I feel like doing, e.g. apparently hate noise (besides their bag of food), and constantly hide under anything they find. One went into a rubbish bag once, and today into my pants on a sofa to hide from the world.
I'm not sure how I feel about this... I was always attracted to cats, and recently ferrets (who appear to be quite similar to each other) because they're bold, not frightened mostly. Unlike people with an ASD, I suppose. But, of course, can't get any of those near guinea pigs... (preys and predators).

Being skittish is not analogous to being Autistic-
it is to be expected in a prey animal.
