I see lots of errors in my vision, even though my retinas have been found to be healthy by two opthamologists. Blue field entoptic phenomena and perception of the punctum caecum or blindspot are the only two problems that have been diagnosed, the rest haven't been explained. When moving from dark to light, or viewing a bright object like the sky, I see lots of dark dots in the center of my vision that only appear if I blink or move my eyes; I see broken lines in geometric patterns; and I see irregular shaped luminescent embossed splotches that persist in my vision after being in bright light. Could this be an AS sensory problem?

I have that issue as well, though they are always not dark colored dots sometimes they just look like sparkily particles floating around in the air. or I've had yellow sploches if I go from light to dark before as well but a lot of times I see dark blue dots........not sure if it's AS related but I know what you're talking about.

It does not really bother me it can be entertaining to watch but I enjoy stuff like that in general....I like watching those videos of spinning designs on youtube and then look around the room so why wouldn't I enjoy random colored dots in my vision?

The sparkly particles are probably blue field entoptic phenomena, it isn't limited to blue colors.

those flashing dots are quite normal actually.

your eyes 'see' by releasing some neurotransmitter, but they have a limited supply at any one time (though it (slowly) refills).
if you are in bright light, a lot of that transmitter gets released,to the point of depleting the supply of some vision cells.
if you then return to less bright light, your eyes still need to refill the transmitter supply, so those cells cannot 'see' yet; hence the black spots.
they flash becouse every time some transmitter is made, it gets used again, showing a little colour before going black again.

of course, the colour of these flashing spots depends on what colour cells have been emptied (you got yellow, red and green colour cells).

so no, this is not AS or and other condition, but just normal behaviour. the only thing that *might* be AS about it is being more sensitive; the effect occuring faster and more often.

to my knowledge, there is nothing dangerous about this happening, except when it blocks a large portion of your vision while in traffic.
