I shower with my back to the water; I hate having the water splashing against my face.

That's weird, why would someone be facing the water? You'd have to get your face in the water to get the top of your head wet, and that generally leads to shampoo getting in the eyes. So yeah, I face away from the water like a reasonable person.....

Generally with my back to the water, but I face it when washing the shower gel off the front of me.

Do you use a hand unit to move the water around your body? I do. This way the question is meaningless. Or maybe I misunderstand something? Usually I shower quickly and thoroughly.

I do. I don't understand why you would want to be facing the water. :?

I turn the shower water to cold whenever I run it over my face or head. Warm/hot water is very hard on facial skin over time.

I use a wide shower head that simulates rain fall, and can stand directly under it after soaping all over. I don't aim the shower head at me. Sometimes I sit on a shower bench and use a hand held hose to rinse off.

Apparently, people only face the shower head in shampoo commercials or movies.
I don't of course

usually my back is towards the shower, but when i rinse off my head and hair i face forwards. i wonder how many other WPers use a jacuzzi nozzle when they rinse shampoo out of their hair? i find that is the only non-water-wasting way to rinse all the soap out of my hair, as the regular shower spray is insufficiently energetic for such.

Apparently not. I think I might be the only one here who does.

I have always stood with my back facing the stream. I don't understand why anyone would want water splashing on them like that.
