For me just the opposite. I am very happy and energized on dark rainy days. Almost euphoric actually.

I feel less motivated and less happy on dark cloudy rainy days; but I think everyone does generally speaking. My favourite days are in winter when the sun is out with clear blue skies and crisp morning air. Sunshine I definitely find motivating provided it isn't too hot or that too saps my energy.

What's really weird is I used to pay no mind whatsoever to the weather and everyone else would be acutely attuned to it and say their moods were lower cause of rain. It was all great to me, so equally great it was news to me whenever they mentioned the specific nature of the weather I had just been in as well. Now (past couple years) rain does indeed make me feel more subdued.

I think it's more like a "many humans experience this" type of thing.

Usually. But today has been an exception to that.

I actually have more energy when it is cloudy and rainy.......Sunny hot days however do decrease my energy, and I feel more anxious then usual on sunny chilly days.

I guess it depends on where you grew up. I live and grew up in the sunshine state, FL. However for four year I lived in the Midwest, the cloudy and gray winters were sooo depressing. I need the sun 8).

My guess is low mood in rain would be a feature of seasonal affective disorder. Basically if they don't get enough sunlight they can get depressed - it tends to show up as depression every winter because of the short days, and it's worse in northern climates.

I feel very energetic when it's raining, because I find it refreshing.

I have adopted the Shirley Manson philosophy of rain in that I am "only happy when it rains."

I find I get lethargic when the afternoon sun is out when I was working in a factory with skylights I just had to walk around because I was feeling sleepy.

i actually feel so much better during a cloudy warm breezy day, or a cloudy cool rainy day, but feel like crap during a cloudy cold or a cloudy cold and rainy day.

Agreed, some more so than others. It's probably not an exclusively aspie thing.
