For example,

"I used to do that too" or "I used to be like that"

Can translate into "I surpassed your status and now I am above you."

I'm hoping to get a serious list here. Please don't derail this thread with a silly joke.

"OK, I will take out the garbage later" = "F off, you @$$hat, and take out the garbage yourself"

My example was too simplistic, I know. But I eagerly await other examples, so I may learn about these misinterpretations.

I am not sure what were intended by the last 2 examples, but I do have the problem quite frequently of what I say being misinterpreted. For me, it is one of the most frustrating, difficult parts of having AS. For me my most common thing is that someone will think I am arguing or disagreeing with them when I am not at all! I just come on a little too intense sometimes so people seem not to realize that I am agreeing with them. That can be very frustrating but I try to correct them.

"My friend had three babies but she lost one of them. She claims to have three kids even though she has two"=She has no right to say she has three kids.

This actually happened at Babycenter with me.

I once got in trouble at work (a previous job at a conservative firm) because I wrote a note for someone written in capital letters. My intention was to make sure the person noticed the message, but it was interpreted as "shouting".
