Being a first-rate Aspie
Some of you will know of Tony Attwood's advice to "[not] be a second-rate neurotypical, be a first rate Aspie". Is this advice you personally follow? If so, how?
It's something I've been working on recently; trying to suppress natural Aspie behaviour a little less, while trying to avoid behaviour that is actually hurtful myself to others - not that I think I would ever do that anyway, it would be more "OMG weird"
than hurtful.
I didnt read it, but I have a vague idea as you say you try not to suppress natural aspie behavior...
Well, thats actually what Im doing whenever I have the chance. I have in conversation with myself agreed that Im right in being myself as what I give is the responsibility of the person judging. I know what I give, as easy as that. In my opinion (yawn) Im doing good things.
I will not manipulate anybody by doing things according to something, I will do it based on my own situation.
I think Im normal and I dont think less of anybody.
Actually I have to laugh at my text for being such a stubborn.... arrrrrgh!! ! But you know? I will be here, misunderstood, trying to make up for it forever, even though in fact I love you all and you just think miserable things of me. See why Im stubborn?
Maybe you think you hate me, but I dont think so. I think I inspire you. So the fact that Im forced to turn into NT is .... "BS" in the end, because Im not going to ![]()
