I have no idea; I cannot really remember much before preschool.

My mother said she could get me to respond with "two" when she asked me my age at two, albeit with great difficulty compared to my sister. Nevertheless, I cannot remember such.

I remember my mother used to ask me how old I was and I would hold up two fingers and say "two this much".

I was six when I knew my age. I can remember before I get birthdays on occasion and I never knew why I was given a cake and candles to blow out and then there be presents for me to open. I always loved it. I can remember having my 5th birthday at school but I still never knew my age even though my mother would hold up five fingers and tell me I am five. I never understood it. I can remember five being my favorite number so I always wanted five everything. I can remember asking for 5 cookies and my mother told me she was going to give me six because that is how old I was going to be soon. I didn't understand ages till I was six. That was when I learned everyone had a number. I used to ask my mother all the time how old she is, my Dad my brothers, my friends. I guess it was thanks to my teacher. She taught me everyone has ages and she ask us all how old we are and I can remember feeling left out because lot of kids in my group were seven and I was only six. Then one day, a girl's age changed to seven because she started saying that's how old she is. I still had to say I was six because I was told that's how old I am.

For me it is 2. I have memories of being 2.. such as sitting on a sun lounger with my father. I also remember my 3rd birthday, and vaguely remember the party.

I remember lots of stuff that happened before I was 5, but the first birthday i remember was my 5th, and i don't recall being conscious of the concept of my age before then.

At least 2 1/2, because we have a home movie of me putting on a little skit for my parents at that age, and on the video, one of my parents asked me how old I was, and I replied enthusiastically, holding two fingers in the air, "Two and a half!" (The half was very important to me.) I also vaguely remember my third birthday party, and my fourth a lot better, so I definitely knew when it was my birthday, but it could have been younger than that, I don't remember far enough back to know.

(8 may have to be interpreted as 8 or older but that last option did not come up)

I'd say five, because from that time is my oldest continues memories. I have memories from before that, but there are very disconnected. So I doubt I had much concept of time or age before age five. I think I was having a lot deja vu at that time and realizing that my birthday was not a one time event. They just kept on coming.
