I've seen things that say that migraines occur more often in people with ASDs than the general population. How may of you have issues with migraines? How many of you is it connected to specific parts of your ASD as well?

I have migraines which can be triggered by my sensory issues.

Headaches run in my family. My dad was on lithium and now a different drug for cluster headaches, and I wake up with a headache nearly every day. If I don't wake up with one, I'll get one at some point in the day. I can point to plenty of causes: dogs barking, loud TV sets, changes in air pressure (if I get a headache for seemingly no reason, I check the weather to see if it's supposed to rain soon, and it usually is), or any number of other sensory issues. Actual migraines, though, are rare. I'm talking severe headaches that bring along the unwelcome guest of severe nausea, which causes me to throw up anything I ingest, including water.

I get migraines from light and hormone related issues. And sometimes seizures.
I don't think it's a part of my autism because the sensory issues I feel are separate.

Yeah I get them too. I get them after a stressfull time, like on saturday
morning. I have suffered with them for over thirty years now.
I hate when people say that they get them when they have never
thrown up or had to shut themselves in a dark quite room.

I don't get headaches, but my stomach is very sensitive to my mental health state.

My mom used to get them all the time, but it was because of a head injury she received as a child. I get dizzy and nautious when I'm stressed.

Not AS, exactly, but yes, migraines. Frequently, as in, any time I'm under fluorescent lights for more than a short time.

I get migraines every now and then, as do many people on my moms side of the family.

I often had migraines as a child (now I have them rarely). Some people often told me that I was too young (that was stupid and annoying) to have a strong headache caused by bad weather.

I get them, but only very rarely e.g. annually or less which I think is unusual. It is the visual disturbance that annoys me, the headache part is not usually that bad. I get quite a lot of normal headaches though.

Me too I don't experience them frequently anymore. My mom gets migraines frequently. I never found the trigger for my migraines though I think it could be stress and overload.

I get headaches, but that's due to stress, or if not, my sinuses. Sometimes loud noises cause me headaches too. But I don't generally get migraines, only after a big outburst caused by too much anger.

My family are all NTs, and most of them get a lot more migraines than I ever got.
