Like, I originally scored a 35 on the AQ test and I thought that was high enough to pass. But, as time went on and I started getting "involved" in my life, it's like I discovered parts of myself that weren't actually true and now I keep getting a score below 20. I'm getting worse at the AQ test as time marches on and I think I'm failing it!

Please help me, I don't want to fail the test! How can I improve? I heard nearly all the historical geniuses would've passed this test, so I really want to pass it.

You want to "improve" your score and "pass" the AS test because some historical geniuses supposedly would have?????

This is wrong on so many levels.

I keep hearing that Newton and Albert Einstein would've passed it and so I want to pass it, too.

Because I want to be remembered by history for some great accomplishment that only those with a narrow-enough focus, like autistic or semi-autistic geniuses, can accomplish.

Telling a duck to "be themselves" will not turn them into a lion.

What's an AQ test?

Also, Einstein's don't exist any more.

Get someone to do the test for you. Usually our interpretation of self is completely different to who we actually are.

I doubt the physicists of today are autistic or semi-autistic. Brian Cox who is a walking Ken doll/ a plastic of the nestene consciousness, has great social skills. Michio Kaku who built an atom accelerator when he was 12 years old does look at the world in a different way but there's not really one AS trait that sticks out for me. Many physicists go onto talk shows and can communicate quite well but have a horrible sense of humor.
Stephen Hawking doesn't appear autistic at all. He was a bit of a show off.

Anyway, I hope you cheer up and find something that you really excel at. That's all I needed. My interest is science but I can't remember the theory or the equations for very long. The university work load would flatten me. So, I just write about it in my own sci-fi stories. My true skills is in art which I have recently gone back to. I'm even have a job as a photographer where my lack of communication skills will be tested.

Remember that 50-question test that your psychiatrist gave you and then 2 weeks later, the psych diagnosed you with aspergers? That's the AQ test.

Why do you want Aspergers so badly? What about this neurological problem that makes almost every aspect of life hellish and exhausting sound so wonderful to you?

You can be gifted and have autism, and you can be gifted and be NT. To make a difference in the world of the size you're talking probably requires some amount of giftedness. If you're gifted, but not autistic, you're good to go. You'll have a much easier time of making a change because you won't be constantly exhausted and mentally drained after a five minute conversation.

If you really want to pass the frikkin' test, you can pass it. Exxagerate your answers, lie flagrantly, who cares, if all that matters is passing the test you can do it. It's a test. If you're smart, smart enough to change the world, you'll figure it out.

I feel like a failure because I answered it honestly and got a high score. You feel like a failure cause you're not as much of an "aspie" as you want to be. GET. OVER. IT.

Sorry for all rudeness, but that's how it is.

I never took that test. So no, I don't remember. christ you're so annoying.

Why are you taking the same test over and over? You're never going to get the same results if you do that..

Do you mean physically?

Because spiritually this box-thinking is irrelevant.

Maybe its more about closed vs. opened doors.

I'm a bit afraid to write this to you, but here it is anyway.

Judging about your posts it's obvious to me that you are at least highly intelligent. So, why would you want to "pass" that freakin' test in the first place? To feel you belong? Are you sure you're not kidding? (Sorry.) You might be very well on the verge of ASD/NT, a BAP, Proto-Aspie, Semi-Aspie, Geek, Nerd, etc. etc. and that's fine. Maybe I am, too. That's why I looked for an evaluation. Maybe you need some reassurance and a little help only. Gosh, Albert needed that, too...

But you're not Newton or Einstein - you're who you are. These tests don't necessarily mean a diagnosis, and a diagnosis is just a label.

Are you a failure? You're more likely to fail at life if you think that failing the AQ test means that.
