This is the list I came up with...I just don't know what is "asperger's" and what is normal behavior. Keep in mind I am also bipolar.

• I still have a blanket. It’s a shredded up piece of a pillowcase. I like to create a corner to scratch myself lightly with. I have stopped bringing it places now, except overnight trips.
• Growing up I sucked my index finger until I was 15.
• I have been a picky eater since I was three years old. My favorite food Is still mac and cheese.
• I bite the inside of my cheek a lot
• I am very much a hermit. I do not have friends (I do have a boyfriend, however).
• I can’t get “close” to anyone.
• I don’t like to look people in the eye very much
• I talk to myself
• I like to have my bed made a certain way before going to sleep
• I am very set in my routines
• I crack my knuckles a lot
• I am often called immature.
• I don’t particularly like being hugged except when I am asked.
• I have a very bad short-term memory.
• I am very gifted in writing.
• I love to read, but I don’t comprehend it well.
• I am obsessed with TV on DVDs or television shows on Netflix.
• I hate bright light
• I am supposed to have fibromyalgia—my pain is severe
• I have sleep problems, even with meds it is hard to fall asleep.
• I am very clumsy and have poor balance.

What is it with aspies and mac and cheese? I love mac and cheese and it's my favorite. I have it everyday almost ever since my eating disorder had gone away. On the weekends I am less to having it because I then forget to eat or am too lazy to. But I have other pasta too.

I recently got back into reading and decided to put my Nintendo DS away and focus on reading more.

Few of the things sounded like AS on your list. The rest may be due to learning disability and quirks and one of them is just a health problem. Hard to tell what is AS and what isn't. But sleeping problems seems common in AS. I have always had sleeping issues. Then they have gone away and would come back.

Can't hold a job long enough to establish a career?

That would most definitely fit, but it also fits a lot of other things too.

You're supposed to?! 8O That sucks. I don't know what I would do if I were told I have to have that!

Wait. Yes I do. I would choose not to have AS if that were a requirement. :P

Hey, wait...

THAT'S IT!

I'm just gonna CHOOSE not to have Asperger's!! !! !

Why didn't I think of that sooner?! :duh:

OK, I have symptoms of fibromyalgia, but they may be really symptoms of AS? Not sure?

I can definitely hold a job. I work full time.
