I don't want change, but psychologically need it.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I stagnate easily with my desktop backgrounds and have to constantly switch them around or else I'll get depressed. (Or more, assuming it's mild depression behind this tendency.)

I used to not be like this. I used to have just one desktop background for months and be perfectly happy with it. Now, I have tons, some of them extremely beautiful, and yet I require the "change every 15 minutes" function to keep from going nuts.

I wish my mind would stay happy with just one thing like it once was.

What else has changed in your life? Anything you had no control over? Probably not too long before you suddenly started needing all this "change?"

I need to have exact change in my purse. I don't like getting change when I pay for something.

Maybe there is some underlying issue that has not come to the surface yet.

What do you think it will be?

Don't feel bad. I'm that way with the avatars I use on this site. I only use the same avatar for like 3 days at most. It's probably frustrating for people who identify other users by their avatars rather than their usernames, but hopefully my avatar changes aren't too bothersome because they are usually within the same general theme.
