I was in taxi to my school and the taxi driver, ask me what autism is and why I don't have a girlfriend and why I have a pink girls bag with Sailor Moon javascript:emoticon('')
The only we had in common was we like 90's Dance music javascript:emoticon('')...

I think exactly what you've just told us about him.

I like 90's dance music too.

If you aren't comfortable with his questioning, then you can probably just say. You can always just say 'I don't know'.

I usually say autism is a bunch of various neurological differences. If people don't know what a neurological is, then I say brain.

I say that people with autism can often find it more difficult to form relationships, mainly because of atypical body language and communication differences. That's not the whole story.

Why do you have a sailor moon bag? Probably because you like sailor moon.

Tell him that autism is like driving a taxi around in a new city with the wrong map and everybody speaks a foreign language and the money is different.

I would have told him I don't know what a tip is. When I would get out of the taxi I would leave the door open so he had to get out of the car to close it. They hate that.

1. Neurological disorder or my brain is different from yours
2. I don't want one... if he presses just say that's really none of your business
3. I like Sailor Moon
4. I like 90's dance music too! (and get all excited)

Why does it even matter what he thinks? He's a taxi driver; he's not going to have any major effect on your life.

I don't know about Denmark, but here in Australia most people have no idea what autism is. If I was in a taxi and the driver asked me about autism I would have just told him the truth. If he starts asking personal questions about G/Fs tell him to mind his own business. If he starts acting weird and crossing into your personal space then make sure you have capsicum spray and a mobile phone within easy access.

How did the taxi driver ever get on the subject of Autism? Did you tell him you have AS? If you did, remember next time not to talk about it if it makes you uncomfortable.

When people ask me what autism is I usually tell them it's not something they could understand.
