Hello I am not sure if this is the correct place so appologies in advance, I have been told I need to go for a test for Aspergers by my councillor and not to sure what to make of this, as he suspects I have it and I am not to sure what to make of it to be honest, is it a bad thing to have this? I found this site on the net googling aspergers forums so thought I'd join and see what people make of it!

But yes I have suffered from depression since I was 15, dropped out of school and always felt I wasn't meant to be in this world type thing, so really I have never had the chance to be diagnosed because I am so reclusive! I just want a bit of info to be honest and it's bad and good points to be honest as I feel a bit silly having been suspected to have it like I am not a proper person if you get me? sorry if that offends anyone.

I would certainly ask for more information from your councillor but wouldn't go simply because someone says I "need" to, in the end it would be my choice and I am sure you find it the same way for you..

There is nothing wrong with getting a proper diagnosis but I have heard it can be quite lengthy, I only recently realised I must be on the spectrum and my boss is helping me contact a few people she knows who deals with it on a professional basis.

Hmm well to be honest I wanted to go ahead just so I know why I feel the way I do and stuff. I am just worried what a test consists of?
