I hate confrontation

In reality and due to the nature of my day to day life I have to act as though I am really tough and I must say I pull it off quite well, I get left alone, I don't get excluded in any way and I have never been to badly bullied. However acting hard is only an act. When I first joined WP two days ago it was the first time in my life where I was able to drop my defences and discuss the issues in my life that I hadn't been able to fare discuss before. I hate confrontation, it really bothers me. I'm gonna try and not get involved with it when I come on here.

Confrontation on here usually only happens when trolls troll and make a deliberate attempt to offend. Other than that, welcome to WP!

I hate confrontation too, but I don't act tough. It's not my nature to be anyway except the way I am, excluding keeping my mouth shut when I have a rude thought. That doesn't mean I have a handle on this fear of confrontation issue, because I don't. I'm just chiming in.

I too am really bad with confrontation, and I also go around with a very tough stance.

I am very bad at doing any kind of "middle ground," so if there's a confrontation I become enraged and don't know how to rationally deal with it - it's like I can only be at zero or sixty (to use a driving metaphor), nowhere in-between.

I'm kind of the opposite, I'll get into an argument with anyone who disagrees with me on a political/ethical issue regardless of their status or relation to me. I couldn't care less about subjective aspects such as music taste, film preferences, etc. etc.

When it comes to other people’s ideas or philosophy, I’m usually happy to live and let live. For me to get into an argument it has to be about something or someone I really care about. For example I sometimes get upset by the cruelty and hatred I see in the world; probably a bit too upset truth be told; especially if I see it directed toward someone I consider vulnerable. Yes, I am the same.If I see see an animal abused, for instance, I'm going to get confrontational.
