I'm kind of the opposite, I'll get into an argument with anyone who disagrees with me on a political/ethical issue regardless of their status or relation to me. I couldn't care less about subjective aspects such as music taste, film preferences, etc. etc.
When it comes to other people’s ideas or philosophy, I’m usually happy to live and let live. For me to get into an argument it has to be about something or someone I really care about. For example I sometimes get upset by the cruelty and hatred I see in the world; probably a bit too upset truth be told; especially if I see it directed toward someone I consider vulnerable. I don’t enjoy being confrontational; nor do I feel comfortable in an argument; but I do find that occasionally the importance of a certain issue overrides my distaste of confrontation and I feel obligated to get involved.
Yes, I am the same.If I see see an animal abused, for instance, I'm going to get confrontational.
