I told my friend i want a guy, yeah but not meaning now. she doesnt seam to understand that i dont want to be set up with anyone. or even to just meet this guy.
How can i make her understand that i am not the most social creature in the world. she has 2 AS friends and she doesnt seam to "get" either of us.

Just tell her openly how it is. "When I said I'd like to have a guy, I didn't mean now, and I'm not interested in being set up with anyone (right now, or ever - depending on how you feel). Thanks for your help, but this is not what I need/want".

Seriously, NTs often have much trouble reading cues and social signs if they aren't what they're used to. Because contrary to the popular belief, NTs need to learn these cues, too, and if they're different or if person expresses her emotions differently, they can't read the cues. So nothing wrong about being blunt about this.

I guess you need to be clearer. :) You said you wanted a guy and she went out tried to get one for you.

I'm with you. If I were talking about wanting a bf or gf, I would not actually expect the other person to get one for me! So very strange!

Thanks, tried this. i basically have to hit her over teh head with the subject before she understands.
i may just have to keep swinging the bat around till it hits home!!
Her flat mate, my friend said "nooooo, do not let her hook you up with anyone!!"

Everytime I have been set up with someone by a friend, I question my friendship with that person...
