Firstly, I love arguments with a passion, you don't have time to be awkward or confused, it's often just pure logic or opinion until instinct and emotion take over once it gets heated enough. (any one else like arguing?) secondly, wrong planet is so kind I wonder if every one is really this nice in real life. Do you not want to debate religion or anything for fear of upsetting others? My question is this: is your wrong planet persona accurate to your real life personality? Do you feel obligated to be a saint?

I don't like arguing. It just makes me upset. I generally don't like debating either. Other people aren't going to change my mind and I'm not going to change theirs so it seems pointless to me.

I don't want to debate religion for fear of upsetting myself. You don't change people's beliefs, you don't change their political views and you don't change their opinions. You can give them facts, but you can't force an opinion on someone. I feel those conversations are generally sterile and gets my blood pressure through the roof. I avoid feeling bad as much as I can
I'd end up strangling some racist church goer if I really really decided to convince them. Why would I need to convince them of anything anyway?

I say things here that I would in fact say in real life, but they're not "accurate" to my personality because normally I'm singing and dancing around and making funny faces, so...that's absent here.

Yeah, you need to go play in the PPR forum. It's got exactly what you're looking for. If you started any thread up about those topics here, they'd be moved there anyway.

thanks, I'll check out ppr. (For the record, I only enjoy arguing if both sides are having fun, if its making any one upset then I don't like it any more.)

Well, all I can say is if you've got a pretty thick skin, you'll probably have no problems there. If not, well...

I like debating, but only for less serious topics.
