So I have this driving game I like to play... Especially when I'm going over the Ross Island Bridge in Portland...

I look at the cars ahead of me and the oncoming traffic. When 3 of them line up perfectly, I blink and say "click" to myself... score! Sometimes - but this is rare - 4 cars will briefly line up perfectly, and if I can capture that moment, its like a huge bonus.

Have you ever seen "How I Met Your Mother" and the episode where they played the car game "Zitz dog"? You pointed and said "Zitz dog" whenever you saw a dog.

My first boyfriend's stepfather used to yell "POPEYE!" when he saw a car at night with only one headlight.

My kids punch others in the arm when they see a VW Beetle and say "PUNCH BUGGY!"

Oh yeah... in my family we call the VW's "Slug Bugs". I think my older brother counted the buses, too. :)

The alphabet game was my favorite on long road trips. You have to find a sign with a word starting with each letter of the alphabet (in order). License plates not allowed, unless it was a shorter trip. On trips to my grand parents, it became critical to get past the "P" level before we got to the Dairy Queen, or all hope was lost.

I imagine that billboards for Quasar brand TV's were long gone, huh?

Whatever happened to Quasar anyway?
