Any people out there with an ASD who also have a fairly accurate intuition?

I am curious as to whether it is possible to have something like Asperger's and still have an intuitive nature.

Well, I would say that the learning curve based on experience as the foundation for intuition is longer and flatter for Aspies than it is for their NT counterparts. Aspies have to learn more through trial-and-error and conscious reflection of errors, and throw in a little honest feedback from trusted others, that's the formula for intuition - at least for an Aspie like me.

I think that NTs are more "agile" and adept with generalizing & abstracting from one situation to the next, combined with intuitive non-verbal cognition so they can tell if someone is a menace, liar, two-faced, etc. Or if a situation is too risky, or worth it. I also think that an "unfair" advantage NTs have had over us Aspies is more experience and exposure to peers, so they have a greater arsenal of interpersonal interactions - and the resulting wisdom from it - to call upon when they suspect something is "not right" in a given situation.

Leme see, my Meyer-Briggs element is intuitive, but so are most aspies, and that's probably the only intuitive thing about me, except I'm very intuitive with math and other patterns. Not so much with social interaction and other stuff.

I think this sums it up pretty well.

So, basically, Aspies can have intuition. I might add this intuition can be a little different from others, I can't quite put my finger on it, how. Perhaps, with the ability to soak up many different kind of information we can go farther in certain respects than our NT counterparts by the time we have managed to sort out that huge pile of seemingly unrelated data...

^ Yes. I'm very intuitive in some areas, but usually where others are not.

I think I'm quite intuitive. I seem to know a lot of stuff and I don't really know how I know it. The answers just pop up into my head. When I watch quiz shows with general knowldge questions, I tend to get the answers right, a lot of the time. Even when I think I'm really just guessing, that guess is often correct - I don't think they are guesses in the true sense.

Also, if there's a murder/ missing person enquiry and people are interviewed on TV, or there's an appeal, I often get vibes about someone. A few days later, we hear they've been arrested as a suspect. I understand criminal psychologists watch such footage for hints, but they have training and knowledge about what to look out for. I don't have training and have never read about criminology, I just know the person might be guilty.

As I stated in another post today, I'm not psychic.
