I think im likely an Aspie but could be exactly sure and couldnt be bothered to get dianosed.-why bother?my social life is a ruined- Reason im still doubtful of my condition is because i dont find myself carrying some of the common traits found in most Aspies/Auties.

Lack of Empathy

-I read from many sites stating Aspie/Autie's lack of empathy or the inability to express any,but my case is simply having too much empathy/sympathy for other people. At shcool,i sometimes feel bad when a teacher scold my friend or i become upset when someone i thought was nice was being given a bad-rap from behind the back by his/her friends in a casual bull session .
-why would people befriend with someone they dont like??-

-Im painfully troubled and embarrassed by my past experience of the rude remarks i had made to my friends. As a result of that, i have become very careful with my words and people's feeling. Before approaching a strange,I often repeat multiple version lines until i find one that i think is most understandable and least offensive version for fear what ever i say might harm their self-esteem/pride/feeling.

-I find most of the people around me rude, uncaring and they babble too much before delivering their message.I couldnt fathom why people keep finding excusses to explain thier minor mistakes to dodge blame and apology.
-can they just say sorry instead??im not interested in their reasons-

-People like cheap things and discount including Aspies/Auties.But I could never relate myself with people who engage in unrelenting haggling.Im rediculed by people who raise their voice or trash the quality of the item they are buying to get more discount when the sales person clearly state no discount.

Do you guys share any of these traits??

Not all aspie lack empathy. They sometimes don't express it correctly.
I am very empathetic. I have trouble reading body language and facial expressions so it may be hard for me to tell how other people are feeling.
That does not mean that I don't care about their feelings because the last thing I want to do is hurt someone.
When I do hurt someones feelings I mentally torture myself for a very long time. Clearly we do not lack empathy. We just lack social skills.
You need to do some more research.

I have too much of that stuff, but I feel it more so for animals than people. I just don't usually feel "sorry" for people like I think I should. It's different when I know and care about them though... but most of the time I either fail to recognise that someone is upset or I'll just stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do.

This is where the difference between cognitive empathy and affective empathy comes up.

I have weak cognitive empathy. I have overly strong affective empathy.

I am not good at identifying emotions and have no idea what to do when I do know what they're thinking. However, if I know what someone is feeling I have incredibly strong sympathy

I am not sure if I have an ASD but I feel great empathy and am highly sensitive, although I don't always read people well. I am on the opposite end of emotionless though, but I cannot always express my emotions, often because I can sometimes struggle to explain them in a way that people understand. I can, however, be very affectionate with people I know very well, especially if I am in an intimate relationship with them or they are family or they are a very close friend.

However, I am interested in peoples reasons for doing things as I don't see them as excuses most of the time. To me, a persons intentions are very important. If their intentions were good but their actions were misguided, I don't really need the apology as they were trying their best even if they didn't get it quite right. I don't want them feeling bad over something if it was a genuine mistake.

Lack of empathy is a human trait. If all humans didn't lack empathy, this world would be a much better place to be in.

This is me. It's actually been a fault at times because I've relinquished self-respect because I felt too badly for someone else who would be affected by me doing what I needed to do or standing my ground. 2011 is the first year I've really made progress on it and started to get a handle on not letting feeling things for other people be the sole ruler of my actions.

it bothers me to see people hurting. when my neices were small my brother and sister in law told me i'm over protective like a mother hen. i can't see an animal in pain. i have taken sick feral cats to the vet and paid through i could hardly afford it. and once took off work just to get a lost persian kitten to an organization called 'let animals live,' which will find her a home.
i'm bothered by things i've said to people because i've hurt their feelings without meaning to.
i hate it when people want a discount when there is none. it's very annoying. i'd never do that.
i think twice before talking to people because i don't want to make more mistakes than i've already have.

If anything, I have too much empathy for other people. I can feel exactly what other people who happen to be in the same room with me are feeling. Peoples good and bad moods rub off on me but on the other hand, I'm already to give my friends and loved ones support if they're going through a rough patch or if someone that they care about passes away.

It's the same for me as it is for Cockney. On one hand, I have too much empathy in one area but I don't really understand situations on time or people's social cues.

I don't think that makes me devoid of empathy.

Yes, this is a trait, considering that I've seen scientific articles suggesting this.

There have been several studies done where they postulate that people on the spectrum do not lack empathy. In fact, they have too much empathy. Too the point where they get overloaded and can't deal with it or deal with it properly and possibly shut down.

Here is a link to a article about one.

http://www.healthzone.ca/health/article/633688

If you do some google searches you'll find other studies that report the same thing.

In case anyone gets confused this refers to excess empathy, not a lack of empathy.
