how do you personally feel about dogs?

I have a very close relationship with my dogs and i love them probably more than a human should love an animal. i much prefer them to people.

i am always looking for ways to spoil them. dogs are almost all i want to talk about and its what i obsess and stress over.

anyone else a dog fanatic?
or scared of dogs even?

im a border collie fanatic

i pat other people's dogs all the time. i don't have a dog, used to have cats and they're easier to take care of, but i love dogs like crazy. i walk down the street, pat a dog and my day turns brighter suddenly.
i like all dogs, including mixed breeds, but i love especially retrievers, siberian huskies and australian shepherds and collies of course.
i like hyper dogs, extremely friendly, that jump on you and nip at your hand. i like feeling their silky paws on my shoulders. i rub noses with them and kiss their heads.
i also love cats, horses, rabbits, parrots. give me a friendly, non poisonous snake and i'll happily let him wrap himself around my shoulders. never happened yet.
afraid of dogs? surprisingly enough, yes. if i see a rottwieler or a german shepherd i wait to see another person walk by him. if he does nothing, then i'll walk too. that, or i'm told he's friendly, or he wages his tail or have a friendly look in his eyes. but if non of the above are present... i'll walk by very carefully and only if i really have to. no problem with the gentler breeds, though, like collies and golden retrievers, because they won't hurt a fly, anyway. if a huge dog jumps on me and nips playfully, i'll laugh and think it's reall cute.
many times the owner of the dog said he won't let strangers pet him but he let me, that, or the owner of the dog commented, "he's usually not that friendly." dogs like me, a lot. i think they sense my love for them.
when i read in the newspaper people have been abusive to dogs, i mean really torturing them, i want to kill them. i think they should give death penalty to anyone who deliberatly murders an animal, not in self defense, of course. like those burglars i saw on the news months ago that poisoned a dog. i'd like to poison them.
and you're right. they really are better than we are, much less selfish.

I love them. They love you just for a bit of food you give them. They're adorable and sweet. They act just how they feel they should act. They do what they think, unlike human NTS. They make you know what they're thinking. And they're fluffy and soft to touch.

I hate dogs. Their movements make me seasick, they bark all the time and it feels like I am being kicked in the head. I hate how dogs are so trusting and let themselves be abused and still trust the person who hurts them. They step on your feet and it hurts. Just give me my lizards and meerkats.

I had a rottweiler/ridgeback cross and he was awesome. He understood me so well (without words), whatever i was about to tell him to do he'd usually have done already. Such a well behaved dog! I think it was because im consistent and dogs understand that. I used to love taking him for massive long walks and he'd always just be continually watching me for the entire time, reacting to every turn i made in the road, basically ranging out ahead and looking after me. If i turned and started walking the other way he'd immediately catch up with me and then get ahead again. If we saw other dogs he'd run back to me to have his lead put back on.

He died a couple of years ago and i still miss him.

I have two dogs. Two big dogs. I do not like it when dogs go in the house. I do not like it when they shed.

Dogs, cats, other animals... Animals mean a whole lot to me. Cats and dogs tend to be the ones that make most of a difference though.

I'm an animal person. I've frequently had other people's pets take to me, even when their owners say "he/she's never like that with anyone, not even me".

Something about a dog's straightforward nature that is really appealing. You never have to guess what they are feeling, and it's easy to communicate with them what I'm feeling.

I love animals in general. I once had this dog that helped come far out of autism and connect more with people. I mean a day after I got this dog at 7 years old I had my first sentence. I actually wanted to make friends. Before my dog Lady I didn't care about people or socializing. Now I love talking to people. I connect with animals. I now have this cute bird at home that I understand. My dog Lady died a few years ago. Now my bird I love and he is like a therapy bird. When I get depressed I talk to him. My bird sometimes gets depressed as well. I believe him to be the cutest thing alive. I believe animals to able to help people with autism.

I'm not a dog-lover, neither is my mum. I don't mind a dog if I definately know he ain't going to bark, and he is friendly and I trust him, and he just goes and lays down or goes out of the room. But generally, I don't really like dogs.

I absolutely love dogs. Not cats. Dogs. Dogs have owners, cats have staff ;)

But, I can't bear the responsibility of caring for a dog for many reasons related to my condition and my character. I also go on multiple-day bicycle rides and camping trips and I would have no one to leave the dog with, and dogs are not even allowed on most hiking trails and campgrounds in New York State. But I take any chance I can to play with people's dogs. They seem to like me too (dogs, not people). I often hear: "Oh, he never warms up to people so fast!".

Dogs are ok. I would never want to own one though, they are far too needy and co-dependent. And I don't like the smell of dogs. What I really hate are noisy dogs that bark at anything.

I really love cats though.
