I was a chronic sleep-walker as a child. I also had terrible nightmares and Alice In Wonderland syndrome, which scared me to death. All these phenomena overlapped, so for example I would wake up walking around in the middle of a nightmare, horribly freaked out and disoriented. I was also scared of hundreds of things in waking life. Does this sound familar?

Ive never walked but I know what you mean about terrible nightmares and being freaked out and disoriented when waking up.

My main problem was I was never sure whether I was asleep or awake. It was very hard for me to tell the difference.

I'm sure the experience I had isn't too rare, I remember thinking I was peeing in the toilet and woke up to realise it was the bath, this happened on a few occasions..

Younger than that I remember I couldn't close my eyes at all, I just had to wait for sleep to hit. Every night I was terrified though I didn't quite know of what, in the end I made up this "midnight demon" to get me to sleep. It worked for a few years till I started staying up all night instead :P

I used to sleepwalk quite often when I was a kid. ...and the nightmares! 8O I don't know if I was scared of alot of things in life...but I remember being scared of quite a few...I was (and still am) a bit overly cautious about many things.

I used to sleepwalk when I was younger, I haven't done it for ages. I once woke up at the end of my little sisters bed...freaked her out a little.

I've also climbed over the baby gate we had in the kitchen doorway and attempted to make something to eat..my dad said I didn't though, I just climbed back over the gate and went back to bed.
