Hello all! I am doing some research on how autistics feel they are treated by the society they live in. To help get the opinions of autistic people on this I am going to be conducting a series of polls on this site, I hope with the blessing of the site owners and moderators. Hopefully the polls will provide some insight and provoke some discussion regarding a number of issues which may be raised about autism in modern society and which I feel should be discussed more frequently and in more depth by autistic people. I wish for everyone to have their say and I have tried to make the polls fairly unbiased though I obviously have my own opinions which may have caused a few of the options to look a bit one sided, I'm sorry if that's the case, I don't mind admitting that I have strong views on this and I want to see how other people feel in comparison, however I have tried to give options that I think people may relate to and most of them have the option of disagreeing with all of the preset answers and writing your own thoughts down instead, so at least everyone gets a fair say on these issues and I respect every opinion and point of view. Please do pick a preset opinion though if you mostly relate and agree and have your own say in your own words in addition. The questions and answers are not there to upset anyone and I hope that everyone realises the purpose of these polls and does not take offence at any of them or at my wording. Please share them with others such as friends/family, especially anyone autistic you know, though many have options for people who aren't autistic as well. Also putting links in other sites you know of which have an autistic community will help a lot as well, it would be great to get the opinions of as many autistic people as possible on these issues.

I have 19 questions in total and I am planning on posting them throughout this week and next week as well so please watch out for them and answer all of them if you can

There is no winning or losing on these polls and no need to vote more than once, every vote and opinion is important as they are how a person is feeling, debating is great but please be open minded, use statements such as "In my opinion" and "I feel that" and please don't argue and insult, I can see that many of these issues may provoke some emotion but it is important to remember that we are all different and see the world differently, the important thing is that we all have our say and consider how everyone else is feeling at the same time
