I've been thinking a lot since yesterday, when I found out that our founder Alex was involved in an accident where his car blew up and he could have died. He walked away unharmed - so no need to panic.

I thought about how so many thousands of us use this website on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. This website has changed our lives, but we can so easily take its existence for granted.

Without our founder, Alex Plank, Wrong Planet wouldn't exist.

I wanted to create this thread as a sort of thank you card to Alex, for anybody who would like to leave a message to Alex thanking him for founding Wrong Planet and for his continuing involvement in admin and keeping the website up and running.

Thank you Alex for founding WP. I was recently diagnosed and I find it comforting that I am not alone. I know I emailed you when I first signed up to say the same thing, however, I just can't say thank you enough for giving me and everyone the opportunity to know that I am not alone and to meet others like me.

For me - WP has been a place of learning, meeting new people, and a place of support during illness and difficult times in my life over the past few years. Thankyou Alex.
