Do you ever have some sudden highs and lows you cannot explain? Like you get up one day and are completely sad and depressed, but another day you feel on top of the world and feel full of energy and like you can do ANYTHING. Without any outside forces propelling these emotions.....

Yes, it happens to me and I think most people do have bad and good days. If mood swings aren't extreme, I guess it's normal.

Yes, I do, but then again, I'm also bipolar. Some mood swings are normal, so if its not interfering with your ability to function, it should be okay.

I tend to be more depressed than anything else, which isn't surprising since I have depression. Most people have highs and lows, but extremes are a major concern.

Yes, I sometimes get depressed for no reason. It sucks, especially when it happens in front of others, because then I feel embarassed afterwards.

Yes, I think it has to do with my ADHD. My inattentive symptoms put me in a low mood and easily cranky which easily escalates into a meltdown. My hyper moods make me excited about everything, and flap my hands and become very impulsive.

I have extremes of anger, depression, happiness and other times I'm just completely neutral.

I thought I had Bipolar once but turned out it was something called PMDD. If you're a boy you won't get it, I can guarantee it.

I seem to have a permanant low going on.........normally I feel depressed but I never wake up feeling on top of the world and full of energy or like I can do anything, unless of course I ingest something mind altering that makes me feel like that.

This is why I find it hard to become thick-skinned. If I'm in a good mood one day, I may try to be more thick-skinned and try to not let anything bother me, but then a bad day will come where I feel extremely anxious and overwhelmed easily and the resentment would build up and I'll probably lash out or something.

I stay pretty cheerful. It's because I'm grateful for what i have. I see life in terms of it could always be worse relative to what you're dealing with at that moment. So, I'm constantly aware of how lucky i am.

I would say, a lack of sleep has an effect upon my mood. There are times when i get involved in something and know i need rest but continue on. IF i don't get proper sleep, at some point i will become cranky and short tempered.

Other than that, i thrive on challenges, i like to believe anything is possible.

I experience highs and lows all the time that have nothing to do with outside circumstances.

Sometimes I feel very lethargic and empty inside, like even the slightest thing could make me burst into tears. During these times, my level of interest towards my obsessions tends to be very low, which only makes me feel worse.

Other times, I feel very happy and energetic for no reason. My level of interest towards my obsessions is high, and I spend my time alternating between indulging in them and stimming. During these times I also feel very creative, and during one such time I filled up an entire 70+ page sketchbook in less than a week.
