Getting a professional diagnosis/resources
Hi All,
New here, i am. Through my research I'm feeling very strongly that i am 'on the spectrum' or have asperger's. From an internal view and of course, knowing my own history very intimately - it makes completely sense. For various reasons I want to get a professional opinion but i'm having a hard time even knowing where to start to find a professional with experience with asperger's/diagnosis.
I live in the Norther California area - a few hours norther of San Fran. I'm 41. Can anyone help with advice on getting diagnosed? Any trusted professionals in the area that you can recommend? Honesty, after a few weeks of searching google and various aspie forums, etc... I'm not having much luck finding a path here.
Help would be appreciated! (And of course any questions/thoughts and other advice.
Regards,
Steve
