Interesting Fairy Fact

According to Wolfram Von Eschenbach fairies were a real race of people (not the little winged magical creatures we imagine them to be).

King Arthur was reputedly of fairy blood.

or 'Fata morgana of Terr de la Joie'

In wolfram she is Terdelaschoye ~ a fairy associated with Mount Feimurgan, wife of Mazadan and ancestress of the House of Anjou and of the Arthurian line.

Apparently, the Icelandic government plans and builds new road routes and housing developments so that they don't impinge on any known fairy territory.....

Morgan (AKA Morgaine) Le Fay is also considered to be the Goddess Morrigan- a celtic triple Goddess.

I suppose that pointing out that 99.999999999% of Arthurian legend (including all the famous characters in it) was a complete fabrication (based very loosely on a real figure from the 5th century who may or may not have a been a king, may or may not have been called Arthur, and who may or may not even have existed) by a 12th Century French author, in order to inspire deeds of derring-do during the Crusades wouldn't get me very far on this topic would it?

Nope, thought not.....

Nothing is cooler than a picture of Willow. I hope you aren't offended that she is a lesbian.

Your namesake, Vetivert?

I like Willow, I'm a big Buffy fan (my favorite characters being Tara, Oz, and Willow), though I was into it more a couple of years ago.

Still, I thought the fairy avatar was very nice, the artwork was beautiful.

The choice is Mel's, though :) .

Of course, but it's the 13th century German writer, Wolfram who wrote the real work of genius ~ Parzival. Chretien's story was unfinished. It was Wolfram who took up this popular tale and finished it. The resulting classic was far superior to anything Chretien could have dreamt up.
