When i am not the centre of attention or 'blanked out' by people i feel angry and upset (inside) but when i do get attention i then get all shy and kinda push it away but afterwards and feel satisfied and my confidence goes WAY up.

What does that indicate? Somebody ont his site said i am a 'histrionic'. i have been accused at times by my family of being a bit of a histrionic at times.

Maybe you are angry because you're not included or feel isolated, but, that doesn't mean you actually want all the attention and pressure to perform on you.

You're more than a diagnosis. You're a person have things you need to work on.

Histrionic Personality Disorder means much more than just general "histrionic" type behavior, ie; overly emotional, etc. Histrionics tend to try and relate to everyone they meet, in a seductive (non sexual seduction) type way. There is also a degree of one upmanship as well, such as "yes, that happened to me too" etc.

When people talk about "histrionics" they usually mean overly emotional, overly sensitive behavior. Those with Histrionic Personality Disorder may or may not display that.
