I have recently started taking Geodon and haven't been able to sleep. Has this happened to anyone else here?

Are you bipolar / schizophrenic? Do you have to inject *shudders* or is it in capsule form?

Here's a site that may be of use to you...

I thought Geodon usually had a sedating effect. What dosage are you taking it at?

I used to take Geodon, but it was hard to tell the effects because I was on a LOT of Seroquel at the time, too, and the Seroquel basically trumped Geodon tenfold in side effects.

Also, how long have you been on it? If it's been a couple weeks at least, I'd say that's a sign you need to talk to your psychiatrist and either change meds or get a higher dose. (Do you usually get insomnia in a manic phase?-- I'm assuming you take it for Bipolar.)
