They gave me a bunch of neuropsychological tests at my testing. I don't remember all of the names of the tests, but I know some of them were the WAIS-III, Eyes Test, Tower of London, and Rey Osterrieth Complex Figure Test. My testing was for school, though, so I think there were a lot of psychoeducational tests that they don't normally give to patients who aren't in school.

The first time with shrink #1, I was asked to fill out two tests based on what I experienced as a child. I marked on a level of 1-5.

The second time with shrink #2 I was interviewed as far as my childhood, then asked to tell a story using a picture book with no words. I was also asked to make up a story using my choice of 5 different items. The shrink asked me to explain how to brush my teeth using hand gestures. It was kind of fun and I usually didn't know what she was looking for. You can take sample tests on other sites to see how you do. Try http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/ (click on diagnostic scales) and http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php. (you may have to copy and paste these)

Just be yourself. That's what's important. Treat yourself to a nice dinner or something you enjoy afterwards. Then you have that to look forward to.

I'm going for a visit for possibly diagnosis next Monday Jan 22 and am wondering what they will ask or request for me. Its rather nerve-wracking since I've NEVER been to a "mental" specialist. I've been waiting 5 months for this appointment and dont know what to expect. 8O
