I recently found their videos on youtube and at first I thought cool, he explains it well until he mentioned the autistic child being broken. I got increasingly angry to hear him say that 'if a behaviour looks weird then it is weird and needs to stop. I have just visited their website and I am really angry that they use the perspective of autism being a brain injury and that the children are brain injured. It says that all stimming should be stopped and that sensory play should be banned. Now I find stimming helps me to calm down or makes me happy, they compare stimming to a drug addiction and that because it produces endorphins it's a bad thing. I love sensory play, it calms me down and I love to explore my curiosity. Here are two articles I found that describe their viewpoint which I am disgusted with

I would like to know how you would feel if you were forced to stop stimming and all sensory play and that if anything you do looks weird to someone then you must be a broken, brain injured individual.
