You probably have a good auditory memory, many people on the spectrum do :)

I'm always making references to old movies or TV shows I haven't even seen, and I tell my sister, "How the hell do I know that?" Obviously I picked something up years ago and the memory's just been lurking in my brain like Joe Pesci in With Honors and OH GOD I'M DOING IT AGAIN.

(Just kidding. I've actually seen that.)

Perhaps you HAVE heard the songs and your subconscious picked them up. It's like that with me, only with conversation. Sometimes I just hear random conversations between people in my head, and they turn out to have actually happened. Or maybe you've got ESP! I'm just kidding. I second the 'good auditory memory' theory.

With me this happens with names. I make up names I've never heard off for characters in stories, and then suddenly I hear the name being said all over the place and I'm always like, ''but I thought I made that name up? I didn't tell anybody about it!''

Like I thought I made up the name ''Yoshi'', then I've discovered it's a name of a Japanese cartoon character (I think).
