I had some kind of special class in elementary school.
And I don't remember what it was for. Maybe someone her knows.
Back in second or third grade I remember leaving my regular class and going to another class for a while every day. I asked my mom about it and she doesn't remember.
There were around 5 other kids in this class and we'd do projects and crafts. This was also around the time my teacher apparently thought I had ADD. (I overheard my mom talking to someone about it.) I also remember having to see someone (A school counselor I think) and she was asking me questions about how I felt while in class. I can remember vividly her asking me to count backwards from 10, asked me to skip and other coordination stuff.
My friend is an occupational therapist and she said it sounded like OT.
Anyone have any ideas what this might have been about?

Anyone? This has been driving me crazy! I want to know what it was all about but my parents don't remember.
I can't stand not being able to get an answer! Lol

It could have been any number of things. It could have been a special class for math, English or any subject that you were struggling in. The counselor could have been there to try and diagnosis behavior problems or try and find your best learning style.
I know when I was in pre-school and grade school, I was in all kinds of special classes and counselor offices for various things.
This was during the regular school day. I remember walking to the class daily with a teacher. I can remember doing craft stuff. The only thing in particular I remember doing was stitching a simple teddy bear. I vaguely remember doing puzzles too. It wasn't anything really physical as far as I can remember. This was in Crystal City, Missouri.

If they did coordination tests with you and then put you in a class where you did lots of artsy kind of stuff like crafts and sewing, I think maybe your friend is right--it was probably OT. I guess they might have seen you were uncoordinated--like maybe you had really messy handwriting or weren't doing well in gym class--and wanted you to get extra practice. That sounds like the kind of thing you might do for a kid with dyspraxia. (Dyspraxia=fancy term for clumsiness. I have it--makes me horrible at sports. Thankfully just affecting the large movements like running smoothly or catching a ball; I'm fine with small movements like handwriting, typing, and sewing.)
