In all the info available i noted that aspies kids are called little professors. So my question is were you ever give a similar label at any age? When we are knowledgeble about whatever we may be into, we get labels due to our apparent knowledge of subjects that are an interest. I have been labeled The Professor many times and informally i love to teach and was student teacher for classes i was interested in were any others also either little professors or teachers or student teach or still have teaching of whatever as part of life?

I was labelled as a 'know it all' or 'smart-ass' (and mainly as a bit conceited) more then a 'little professor'... I think that may be because most of the times I got to talk about those things was often in correcting others on the subjects. And they often thought I only talked about my knowledge in this subject to make myself look better...

I also informally help teach my friends when they have projects/need info on the subjects I know about. However it doesn't usually work out well, unless they're fast learners and interested in the subject they will likely end up learning nothing...

One of my grandfather's nicknames for me when I was little was "The Professor."

I was not a "Little Professor" when I was little, due to not having the communication instincts or verbal skills to profess. However, in hisqoool, I got a job teaching classes and tutoring one-on-one in math and science subjects. Since then, I have taught a lot as a teaching assistant for college courses. Teaching is my bestest communication skill and much better than any of my other communication skills.

Adults often called me things similar to "little professor" when I was younger. People my own age called me less nice things.

Stinky-ball, conceited, jerk, nerve-wrecked, childish child. On the positive side: genius.

I was labelled as "walking dictionary", "annoying", "weird" and "difficult". I was never the "little professor" though.

Oh, yeah, "shy" is a label many people seem to be particularly fond of. I just think it's insulting. ^^ It's a "nice" way of saying you're "naive" and not capable of many things.

By professionals:

Genius, bookworm, antisocial [someone needs to get their definitions straight], asocial [better], short-tempered, bipolar, OCD, quiet, loud, nice, sweet, smart, know-it-all, mean, selfish.

By strangers and people I barely know:

Eccentric, weird, nice, polite, awkward, quiet, helpful.

By friends:

Eccentric, weird, smart, Wicktionary, Wickedpedia, freaky "in a good way," bipolar-in-the-brain-department [because I never know 7 + 8 without taking a moment to think about it, but I tutor them in almost everything when they ask for it].

By non-friends:

ret*d, b***h, stupid, awkward, clumsy, loudmouth, dumbass, smartass [why thank you], lazy, special-ed dropout.

By me:

Lenny, Wicked, eccentric, Wicktionary, asocial.

I was called Inspector Gadget in elementary school because i ALWAYS had some kind of... well... gadgets in my pockets. Usually random mechanical parts.
Later on I was called robo (robot) because i had a very monotone voice and I didn't show much emotion.
I've been called wiki (wikipedia) a couple times lately.

Walking encyclopedia, little professor, similar stuff. I don't particularly mind, since they are accurate descriptions of some of my tendancies.

I was called the professor by a few extended family members. I recall being called a yuppie too (anyone remember that one?), bit odd to be called that at 9.

Now people tend to use the words: direct, serious and straight.
