My name is Carol Haldane and I am an author/mum of a child with Asperger’s Syndrome and am looking for some help in getting the word out to as many parents and professional’s/teachers ect, about some new interactive books designed especially for children on the Autistic Spectrum.
When my daughter was diagnosed I spent many nights going through websites/books/blogs, trying to find examples of what I could expect to face with an Autistic child. To my dismay I found countless examples of the diagnosis of Autism but very little examples of what to expect. This is why many years later I decided to write Dannie’s Dilemmas. The books tell the daily life of Dannie (my daughter) exactly like it is. What she thinks, what she says and how she reacts. All the stories are based on actual events that my daughter and I have been through over the years.
What I believe makes these books unique is the fact that the reader is in charge of how the story ends. I have written two separate endings to each book and the child or parent dependent on who happens to be reading the book will choose the way Dannie will end her dilemma.
I am looking for some truthful feedback on the books which are already published which is why I am messaging you today, I would be very grateful if you could spare five minutes of your time to possibly read the preview to these books and if you like what you have read maybe pass this information on to others so we can reach as many parents/proffesional’s/teachers as possible. I have my own website and blog which I update weekly with other stories of what Dannie has done in the past.
