Guys, thank you for being here.
I am living a nightmare recently.

...
A month and half ago my search to find out if I have Asperger or not begin.
You know how it goes at that time,
and how it generally goes with special interests,
I was heart - soul in it and tried all I could to get diagnosed.

I also at that time met one guy I thought was a friend,
stayed with him
...but it did not work.

Well he called some people and they told him to go a a psychiatric emergency,
that they will give me some paper for an autism specialist.
Now, we have done just that HOWEVER, they talked to him without me being there
and he made up stuff about me,
so they locked me unvoluntarily to a mental hospital.

They gave me dg mania and treated me with heavy doses of drugs.
I was not manic, trust me,
I got even very depressed eventually, but they did not worry about that.

Now, after 3 days I managed to run away,
found myself a BF and waited for a month before going back to the hospital for my ID, MONEY and STUFF.
All of that I need to live.

I did not actually enter the hospital, my BF did.

But they did not just did not give it back to me or rather to him,
they threatened my BF with police, telling that he is hiding a fugitive
and they said I MUST go back,
go under their treatment and get ..basically.. deported home.

Now, I am not dangerous to myself nor others,
I am very much able to happily function at home.
Well yes, I am prolly a weird aspie girl...but is that enough to make a Hell out of my life?

Please if anyone of you have any idea or experiences what to do in such a situ,
please do tell.

PS: ..and my family seem to disowned recently me, so no help whatsoever from that direction.

No idea about your country but i would take a lawyer and sue the hospital for false imprisonment. If money is the problem, contact a TV station or tabloid and sell your story.

I notice the thread title mentions Paris. By all reports, France is a terrible place for those on the spectrum. If you hold citizenship for any country other than France, go to the embassy for that country.

PTSmorrow,
Money is a major problem,
we are actually trying to find some free lawyer here.
But The TV, haha! : )
That could be fun and a good story..will think about it.

CuriousKitten,
I did talk to consulate, they said they could not help me.
However that was just one lady, maybe I could try to talk to someone else.

I did read through the thread about Autism in France and was shocked and saddened to see they torture small
autistic children in a name of medicine...

I wouldn't advise expecting them to be any more helpful to adults with autism either. I imagine they took your enthusiasm for special interests as a certain indicator of mania. grrr.

If the consulate persists in refusing to help, try to contact journalists from your native land. If they manage to deport you, do you have a place to land back "home"? If so, it might be best, . . . if it can happen without their "treatment".

That sounds truly horrible, I suspect that even those on WP who usually advocate getting a professional diagnosis may have advised you to reconsider if they'd have known you were in France. :( I hope you find yourself in a safer place.

Thank you all for your idea and words,
I talked to a lawyer today and he said it was a very serious issue,
that I am considered potentially dangerous
and that basically to escape from a prison or mental hospital is taken as a same thing here.

He said to consult Ambassy, but there they told me they can not and will not help me.
Plus I am worried they will call THEMSELVES police if I show up there.

:?

CK, yes, they indeed did.
PLUS when I tried them to explain what makes me think I am an aspie was taken as a sign of a mental illness.
