Is there anyone here or do you know of anyone with autism who never talks in real life, but talks fluently in text on the internet?

At the german Autism and Asperger forum, there are plenty of people with autism that can write and read properly, but have difficulties with spoken language. I can speak and understand to, buts its tiring me, so I avoid verbal communication as much as possible. That doesnt mean I disliked to communicate with other people, but I do it with writing, which is less exhausting for me.

not exactly the same thing but... i spend a lot of time blogging and it's much easier for me than casual conversation as managing people is very tiring for me.

I agree with Schneekugel and Creativeaspie. While I can engage in conversation, though barely, my preferred means of communication is the written word. I will only speak for myself when I say that was have to live life on the terms life has thrown to us, rather than the terms it has thrown to normal people. When things began to fall into place to allow me to do this, not only have I been much happier, I have been reasonable successful. It has been a matter of deriving benefit from not only my special interests, but taking the positive out of what were otherwise some really horrific life experiences
