Nita Callaghan from Diane duane's "Wizard" series of books. Loves to read and go to museums, loves to find things out and loves science, is bullied at school for being "uncool" because she loves to read, and there were other things too, but without the books to habd I casn't put my finger on it.

Anya from Buffy the vampire Slayer - even back when she was human the first time, she said people complained about her taking things literally. She tends to be blunt, slightly unempathetic, and sees things in strightforward ways. (For example, the episode where she decides that capitalism is patriotic.)

Possibly Fred from the Angel series - she's considered sweet and innocent, is a bit socially awkward, has genius level intellect for maths, and likes to build things. In one scene someone mentions clearing the names from a board, referring to getting rid of opponents, and she says 'I can do that,' and starts wiping it off with a board wiper.

I've always though that. The other kids pick on him for no apparent reason, and he's oblivious to just about everything. He's a lot like I was at that age, I think. Not that the plots of Butters' Very own Episode or AWESOME-O ever happened to me, but you probably know what I mean.

Now that I think about it, what about Jack Sparrow? He has an odd way of getting things across ("So, we want the chest?"
"No."
*odd glances*
"You see, there's no point in finding the chest, if we don't have something to open it with and find whatever is inside it."
"Oh! So we want the key then!"
"No."

"We want to find whoever has the key, because whoever has the key must also know where the chest is, so that we can get the key and the location of the chest, and open it up to find whatever shiny things are inside it.")

And he also has an odd way of walking and running as well (quite a laugh, too!). He also has (seemingly) no regard for his pals. I dunno, just a random idea after watching the second movie on DVD.

Fictional characters can't have AS or anything else, so trying to diagnose anybody who wasn't diagnosed on the show is silly.

Besides that, most of the people we migh thtink are AS were intended to be OCD, because apperantly every other character on TV needs to be OCD now.

What about cute little SpongeBob SquarePants? Anybody see that show? My BF watches it all the time.

Spongebob? I don't remember him having trouble with social situations. No more trouble than he has with everything else, anyway.

I thought SpongeBob was an Aspie because:

He's old enough to work in fast food and live in his own place. So maybe he's at least 18. But, he acts a lot younger than someone would at that age.

Obsessions: Jellyfish

He is pretty gullible...like he trusts everybody.

He doesn't know when he's being taken advantage of.

One episode he was supposed to wait for something, but he kept asking over and over if he could have it now!

He and Patrick felt bad on one episide where Mr Crabs said that they weren't cool.

The age thing was shown in the movie.

Although Mr Krabs said he was a boy and not a man in the movie, I think he was referring to Spongebob's maturity, not his age. I don't think his actual age was ever stated.

well....I know this one will be a stretch for some but I was thinking the main character from
"Taxi Driver" played by D'Nero(maybe just because it's a personal interest?)...


I just watched it tonight and I kept thinking....brain tumor,schizophrinic,aspie?


He had no real friends....there was a scene where he just stares at a glass of fizzy antacid..fizzzzzzz
He was obsessed with a female and took her to a porn movie on their first date(dont recommend that)he was clueless about why she was upset....he was very literal in conversation and clueless to slang and popular music and movies.When he set his mind(obsession) on "cleaning up the city" he had great focus on learning to be the ultimate "warrior".....he was idealistic about wanting to save the little girl prostitute and did so in a suicidal manor....His depression appeared to be from his lack of understanding about people and his resulting lonliness.He seemed to have very black and white thinking.

I would really recommend watching this again from an "aspie perspective" and seeing how others see him.He isnt a "stereotype" but he does seem to have traits as far as the character is developed.(obviously missing pieces).

How about Ryan Wolfe in "CSI: Miami"? Yes, I know he is supposed to be OCD, but he seems to have trouble fitting in with his fellow CSI's and he is kind of gullible with women. And he does things like: Go out with a woman his fellow CSI had been dating; then right before leaving for the day, ask to borrow money from that same CSI for the date. I don't think he realizes he is being offensive, though I could be wrong. I identify with him alot because I feel like I'm constantly offending my co-workers without meaning to.
