Does anyone have any suggestions for fiction books whose main characters have AS? I've been hunting around but can only seem to find factual/advice-giving books. Asperger Diaries is the only one I've read so far (an awesome book, highly recommended; you can download it free from hblawson.com). I've heard of The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime but it seemed a little dark. Let me know if I'm wrong about it though. Anyway, any titles/suggestions are appreciated :D

I wouldn't describe "Curious case of the dog in the nighttime" as dark. It's about a boy who has most probably got some Autistic Spectrum Disorder... but it's not specified and I personally didn't identify 100% with his Asperger's (as reviewers or readers seem to have diagnosed him) - then again we're all different so no major surprise there.
Anyway, essentially the boy embarks on an investigation to identify the killer of a dog, has an adventure, and discovers things about himself at the same time.
I found it an enjoyable read

Well do you want books that have a character with AS, or books with characters suspected by readers to have AS?

House Rules by Jodi Picoult. The main character, Jacob, has Asperger's. I enjoyed this book, but did not like how it ended. It is entirely fictional I believe.

Both, it's the characters' personalities (which are often influenced by AS behaviours) that I'm interested in more than the label.

Well The enders game universe. Bean seems like he could possibly have autism, but he has some other intellectual abilities, that are just beyond. It is interesting how it shows how he thinks a lot in the bean series. Ender's shadow (and ender's game, the first book) are amazing.

Well, i have not found any fictional books about aspergers myself.
My suggestion to you though, if you are looking for a great read, with interesting characters, all of them with quirks and intelligence, Go for a Tom Robbins book!
He uses words in a way that tickles my mind. (the movies in my head are delicious!)
He has written eight books. Here is a list, with a star besides my favorites. (yes I have read all of them, some more than once which is not something I usually do)

Jitterbug Perfume**
Another Roadside Attraction**
Even Cowgirls Get The Blues
Skinny Legs And All
Still Life With A Woodpecker**
Half Asleep In Frog Pajamas
Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates**
Villa Incognito*
Wild Ducks Flying Backwards (compilation of articles/interviews)

I tried to check out Asperger Diaries on the website you listed, but you can't download it for free, the only download link is through Amazon.

Hmm, that's curious. I got it free on my nook; if you have one of those you might try that. Sorry, didn't realise the link didn't work :?
