I am on a waiting list, what I meant by post if others are similar but I just delete post, worried I'm a fake going to doctors for it, so I was seeing if I was smiler to others on here so I didn't feel ashamed while at doctors, I get fear I'm fake and stop attending appointments and seen similar posts on here so signed up. My mistake

I didn't see your first post before you deleted it, but please rest assured that there are many others here, and elsewhere, going through similar processes of questioning and doubt that I am guessing you had expressed. You made no mistake; quite the opposite. This should have been a haven for you to receive helpful advice and encouragement.

Obviously, you were not coming here to be given a professional diagnosis, and you were neither expecting that nor asking for that. Rather, I am guessing you were coming here for some compassion and support at a difficult time. I am truly sorry that that is not what you encountered. There are many wise, kind and compassionate people on this forum, who would willingly offer advice and help. I don't understand why one or two people on this forum seem to revel in slapping newcomers in the face with a harsh stock answer to a question that they didn't even ask.

Hello Leeleelee, welcome to wrong planet, please don't be put off by grumpy old Fnord. I'm sorry I didn't get to read your post.

I thought when I went for my assessment that the lady would be polite but would thinking 'all that training and I have to listen to this stupid woman with no real problems having a winge and thinking she's special' so I understand that concern. It was nothing like that

I'm afraid that he may already have been put off, and it may be too late to persuade him to come back. That would be sad, and a real shame.

Well on the off-chance he is still checking. I want to make it clear that this site doesn't say anywhere that you have to have a diagnosis to join, and on the contrary, there are plenty of people who are NTs who come to this site to learn more info and are welcome. I agree that it is not a replacement for getting a diagnosis, but there is never any harm or anything wrong with looking for people who can relate (and I didn't get to see your post, but am sure people could relate)!

if you are agonising over it chances are you have legitimate reasons to think that and if not at least you can put your mind at ease

it took me over 8 years to muster the courage and go ask my GP for a referral!
