How many of you are list makers? What kind of lists do you make?
At my house, I have finally tried to make folders for different catagories of lists. They include football stats, baseball stats, fantasy sports leagues.
and PS2 Rochet and Crank stats. How about you?

Its not really a list, but I once tried to make a log of all the things I did in the SNES game Final Fantasy III. I tried to make a list of everything that happened in the game, how much damage I did in battles, what monsters I fought, the things I purchased, the characters I used.... etc. I didn't get very far, I only tracked my progress for about 10% of the game. At that time I was pretty obbsessed with the game. I all ready beat the game 4 times, and had gotten every character up to level 99. So I was looking for something else I could do with the game, to make it interesting... hmm now I have an urge to play some Final Fantasy... :P

In general I don't make lists though. Sometimes I'll make mental lists... but never write anything down.

I tend to only occasionally make lists of what I need to do (eg when starting college what I had to buy, costs, letters to be sent etc)

When I was about 14, however, I decided to catalogue my entire music collection. It took about two days solid, but was incredibly satisfying!

I always make a grocery list each week. But last summer I got obsessed with US postal zip codes and made a list of all the zip codes in Georgia and Massachusetts in descending order. It was a lot of fun!

Most of my lists are just things that I need to get done (such as homework and chores). Also things I need to buy at the store, because I am very absentminded.

I do like to catalogue things when the need arises, so I very much enjoyed making a list of all the anime CDs we had for our anime club library. I have also made a list of recommended anime music videos on another forum I go to, and I catalogued everyone's suggestions along with my own, alphabetically by title :) .

I started making lists of things when I was an adolescent. The only lists I keep updated these days are my book library and music collection. Some of the lists I have created in the past were of my rock & mineral collection, astronomical objects I had seen, hikes I had taken, video games played, model rocket flights, etc.

Currently I am pondering the creation of an “everything I own” list.

When I was younger, I use to chart how much sleep I got at night. When I got my first job, I kept a list of all the things I did each day. In both cases, it didn't last very long though.

oooooooh, I LOVE making lists.

I make lists of characters in games, what to draw, birthday/christmas presents I like, stuff I need for decoritive baking, stuff that I want to buy, stuff that I need to do, you name it.

I usually lose the lists 5 minutes later being so un-organised.

I used to use lists as a way of organising what I needed to get done, just lately though I've been too overwhelmed by the volume of things that I need to do that I can't make lists anymore.

I do still make lists for things I need to buy because I tend to go blank when I get into town, the only trouble is that I forget about my lists too

Playlists! Me too - I love compiling CDs even if I never get round to burning half of them. There's something creative and deeply satisfying about selecting the right tracks in the right order to make it flow right. 8)

I've been extraordinarily lucky. I work in the aviation industry, and one of my job duties is to maintain some *huge* lists (location identifiers, airport characteristics, airline idents, aircraft types, etc.) so I can get it all out of my system. The only thing I do at home that's at all list-obsession related is to catalog and sort my music.

I make a store list, or I have no idea what to buy when I get to the store. I have a detailed list of K-12 curriculum that I have used with my kids (we've been homeschooling for 11 years). I have a huge calendar in my kitchen that I write everything on or I forget even repetitive weekly events. When I was a kid, I once catalogued every book I owned, gave them numbers and created my own organized library. Of course, no one ever borrowed from it except me.
