AS character on Coronation Street ?

Is there as AS child as a character on the British soap opera Coronation Street ?
About 9 months ago I saw an episode of it while in a hospital on their cable system which received the CBC . This was the first time I had ever seen the show , though I had heard of it .
The episode was primarily about a female who had a child by a somewhat (Apparently) no-good man , she was separated from him ~ He showed up and (Maybe while the child was walking home from school) took him on a ride and drove recklessly , something like that ~ He wasn't abusive/spectacularly bad ,but the mother was PO'd , she got him back at he end of the episode OK , she was mad at the boy's dad . ,her ex .
It seemed like the kid was supposed to be a " special " child ~ If not AS , some other handicap ?
I am told that American soaps play overseas a couple of years after their US showing , that long a window , maybe CS does so too ? So , maybe it was a 2013 ep ???
So , again , is there a young mother character on conemporary Coronation Street whose child (Maybe a blonde ???) is " one of us " ?

I stopped watching Coronation Street a few years ago (having watched it quite regularly from the late 1960s)), and I'm not familiar with the story you refer to, or who the characters involved may be. There was one character, who I think is still in the show, who seemed without doubt to be portrayed as Aspergers, and that's Roy Cropper, played by David Neilson.
