UK question: Have you had a community care assessment?

The psychiatrist who diagnosed me with Asperger's has written that I require a community care assessment because of "poor daily living skills".
I have googled community care but I don't really get what it is or how it is relevant to me. I still live with my parents (I'm 20) so it's not like I need a carer or something.

What exactly is the purpose of the assessment? What services did it give you access to (if any)?

It might be to ascertain whether your parents are eligible for benefits based on needing to care for a disabled adult
