Many Aspies learn to use their cognitive abilities to logical deduce one's emotions from one's facial features. In fact, I have been know to perform rather well on "Read The Mind Through The Eyes" test; we Aspies tend to notice patterns--if one can get past the initial discomfort of eye contact, the patterns become easier to learn.

Congratulations on your success. :)
