Once I was on anti-psychotics, medication that is usually antagonistic of dopamine activity, and I ended up being more disinhibited than ever in social relations. Now, was that an extension of my personality, or is it related to AS?
People with AS are known to be disinhibited - not knowing boundaries in conversation - so, I'm wondering, could it be that they have some kind of dopamine deficiency, considering the actions of dopamine antagonists?
(To further delve in this philosophically, if dopamine modulates pleasure would it imply that people with AS possibly don't feel pleasure in conversation and that would be the reason they try to continually go over boundaries, in an effort to locate pleasure?)
