Now I do lift weights and move heavy barrels at work. However Im no where near a power lifter.
But when Im grappling, Im not really uses strenght. Im kind of a lazy grappler.

Asperger people are supposed to be predisposed to have lower muscle tone than usual, suggesting that they are not strong. I know that this was how it was with me as a child. However, in actual practice, people noted capabilities there that seemed to be significantly greater than appearances suggested.

In general calling a person "strong" is not at all a compliment in Jiu-jitsu. It usually implies that you use incorrect technique instead of leverage and flow, which is what Jiu-jitsu is all about.

Low muscle tone isn't that common in Asperger's. I don't think that aspies are either weaker or stronger than NTs. Some are waker because of inactivity, others obsess over working out so much that they'd easily beat your average gym goer at any given exercise.

I'm just going to point out that hypotonia(low muscle tone) doesn't relate to muscle strength and size. It's more of a neurological condition where your muscles aren't as tense and don't automatically resist unexpected movement.

when I roll against people in grappling. Im not trying to be strong at all. Im a very ''lazy'' grappler due to my learning disabilty.
Im not the best jui jutsu guy out there but I enjoy it alot.

I've always thought people with Asperger's would generally be physically weaker than normal because we have such a hard time doing activities that require gross motor skills and as a result our muscles would not be getting as much of a regular workout. Also aspies have often been labeled as "nerds", who stereotypically are weak. Being a nerd is one thing I've never been accused of being in school, however, because they're supposed to be smart. :?

I'm FAR weaker than average and even when I was regularly working out, I could never keep up with even an average person who didn't work out. I don't think our physical strength or weakness has anything to do with AS. I think it's as individual among us as among NTs. We inherit our body types mostly from our parents.

I suppose we might have a lower tolerance for the physical discomfort that comes from working out and exercise in general, which might lead us to be less in shape than NTs. I definitely can't think of any reason we'd be stronger than NTs, unless it has to do with not noticing pain as much?

I have decent muscle tone, but then again I like working outside. I split wood for fun and I have gathered large stones and built a wall for the sake of building a wall. so that might have something to do with it

my muscle tone is not that good, and if i just go about my business, i'm indeed not very strong or agily, you might even call me clumsy.
however, if i focus on muscle usage (for whatever reason, grappling or lifting are possible options), i find that i am quite strong, even a bit stronger (though mostly in endurance) then my peers.
for example, where most of my housemates struggle moving a full keg with two persons, i lift one off a 2-high stack and carry it to where it has to be

Some told me that I'm very strong in spite of my vulnerable appearance. And my reactions are also very fast. Many times when somebody wanted to slap me, I could catch their hands. Once I twisted my cousin's fingers for this reason and she had to play piano

Weaker than average, tho sporting aspies may be strong.
I played regional football, but I was more skilful than just strength.

Grappling is hand and wrist size, and forearm muscle

I am strong for my build (I am a fairly slim woman of a bit below average height), but that is because I weightlift daily and work out at the gym. I also do 50 press-ups on one leg every day.

I had my reaction time tested when I was in high school and it was recorded as less than 50% of normal speed. It was so low that they checked it three times to be sure it wasn't an error. I think this discrepancy is pretty solid evidence that our physical attributes (aside from things like body language) are really not related to autism.
