Rain
Thunder
cats
And very rarely, some voices

There's a woman who does a local radio show that I could listen to all day. She could be talking about swimming in raw sewage and I wouldn't care, I just like her voice.

I like a lot of the sounds people talk about in this thread, such as thunder. Here's an interesting one though:

Dissonance - such as playing two notes that are a half step apart. Any sort of dissonance, I like. This may be because I have absolute pitch and hear each individual notes "noteness" rather than the chord - for example if I'm playing B and C together (they are a half step apart - just like E and F), I will hear the B-ness of the chord and the C-ness of the chord. It extends farther though - I like the sound of what I call 'out-of-tune-dissonance', which is dissonance between notes that don't fall on half step intervals.

There are so few and so they are precious:

Cats purring
Thunder
Ocean Waves
Most all string instruments
Piano and drums only for percussion
Often, the very absence of sound is a delight

1) The quiet sound you get early in the mornings before most people are up. It's as if you can hear the air, even though it isn't breezy. I can't describe it, but I love that sound.

2) The sound of trains screeching on the rails as they draw into the station.

3) The female computer voice on Logan's Run (great film). It sounds comforting and sinister at the same time.

4) When my old laptop used to boot up, it had a great sound.

5) The organ.

My diagnoses - anxiety disorder, depression and traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (all in remission).

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

How can you like chewing, that noise drives me crazy. The weird thing though is that if I'm chewing it doesn't bother me, but if it's anyone else I get annoyed and cover my ears. I really like the sound of people drumming their fingers on tables and stormy weather.
