I took typing my senior year in high school way back in 1980-81.

Now, at times, typing on my own has work as kind of a zen meditation. The class itself I felt too much in arrears. And it also occurs to me that it might work better the middle of the day rather than 6th period like I had it.

So, on the theme of additional open fields, does anyone have positive experiences they'd like to share about typing or keyboarding classes?

I was literally the only one in my school who got an F in typing class

I tried to learn it from the basics "the right way." And this felt like such a big deal that I put off practice on my own. Of course there is more than just one right way to do it.

I got a D in typing, which if anything is perhaps even harder than an F.

I generally got good grades my first two years of high school. And then mixed grades my last two years when my dad was mistreating my mom, my sister, and myself. Not a good time in my life, nor that of my family.
