What fictional characters, from TV, books or movies, do you think are aspie? I think TV aspies include Paris Geller from Gilmore Girls and Penelope Taint from The Amanda Show. From books, Mary Bennet and Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice, Meg from the "Wrinkle in Time" series, Hermione from Harry Potter and Gilbert Norrell from "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell". At the moment I cannot think of any aspie movie characters, except in movie adaptations of the books above.

The person who said Sherlock Holmes and Columbo reminded me...

Bobby Goren on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent'. He's part Sherlock Holmes and part Columbo... and a woman I like thinks Vincent D'Onofrio's hot.

His brother has a serious case of Asperger's syndrome and he supposedly has some aspergers syndrome himself.

I disgree with the people that said Hermione from Harry Potter and Lisa Simpson.

They are just Nerds, they have no other aspie qualities at all.

Did anyone see the Monk episodes with his neighbor, Kevin? Kevin seemed pretty aspie to me - nerdy, and displayed his knowledge of every egg salad sandwich he'd ever had.

Because they don't have problems with socialising, communicating, talking in front of people, stuttering, they can concerntrate on school work, ect.

Why do people think they are aspies? Yeah, they're brainy and like school, but hey, alot of people do.

I don't know about Lisa Simpson, but Hermione definetely has problems socializing...she tends to spout random facts as opposed to "normal" chit-chat. In fact her social issues are the main reason I think that she is aspie.
