Anyone do this? I notice I pace back and forth every time I talk on the phone. It's like I have to do it in order to get what I'm saying out.

Mmm...

It's not really that uncommon, though.

In Japan, I used to watch people on their mobile phones, and they would actually bow while on the phone, so it looks like rocking if you do it a lot. :)

I do that too. I seem to need walking about in any situation that requires thinking about something in a directed way and/or talking. It stimulates me so that I can speak better and my thoughts become both more intense and more smooth, somehow.

yeah. but for me it's normal. I get a call on the way to class and I walk, I don't stop. not to mention I run a small photography business.

Yeah, I walk about while talking on the phone too. If I'm not walking I'm usually doodling on something instead.

I guess I do. I hardly ever on the phone more than a minute. Every once and awhile I'll talk to someone for more than five minutes and I'll get a work out from it. Just walk outside and walk around my house until I'm finished.

I am rarely still when on the phone, i will walk up the stairs and down the stairs and in the kitchen i will only stand on certain squares, my pacing is worse when i have to talk to a stranger or a call center, i get very nervous and the pacing stops me from stuttering as much, at least, that's what i tell myself.

Yeah, I sometimes pace then. I recently went to an admirals club(Fancy name given to a quite place at the airport that airlines charge you to be in), and I had to watch out for the pacers while leaving. They were literally pacing the halls!

What's a telephone?

No, I can't do anything else when talking to another person.

I hardly use cellphones and I think it's rude to talk on them in stores.

I pace, or I'll bounce a little on my toes, or move around when I am on the phone. I hate talking on the phone.

In the rare event I use the phone, I'll usually end up pacing about because phone calls make me nervous.

I don't pace when I talk on the phone, I prefer to stand in front of a mirror while talking.

I do this as well! I have tobe moving in some way or another to get my thoughts out. It's as if my thoughts are a river, and me moving is like the river flowing, and so the results look a lot better!

I tend to pace a little. I also can't refrain from "talking with my hands" when I'm on the phone, even though the person on the other end obviously can't see what I'm doing...
