I'm going to try to sleep until 10am on Sunday! WHY???? Because It is past 2:30am on sunday. I got up at 8am saturday because I did the same thing on friday.

All I have to say is WOW! I used to do this all the time. Then, decades ago, it stopped. I had a somewhat normal sleep schedule. A couple months ago I started taking acetyl-l-carnitine, and tyrosine. I haven't taken it for 2 days, and I am STILL wide awake! BTW my blood pressure and pulse are lower than ever, and I feel great!

I think I might see if I can get back to my old schedule. I used to work on little projects during the day, and read at night. I had a kind of insomnia. But those were the best times of my life.

How are you guys and gals doing?

Steve

Well, I go to sleep anywhere from midnight to 3am. I'm really a night person which is a problem when I'm alone with no one tell me to go to bed. However, the killer for me is getting up. I'm not a morning person at all. I really mean it. I have two alarms which to wake me up and even then I'll sleep through them or shut them off without realizing I did. So, if I could sleep unitl noon everyday, I would not have a problem with going to bed so late but that will never happen. Oh, well. Right, its 2am in the morning and really should go sleep so I can get homework done tomorrow.

I've turn myself nocturnal for the benefit that I am not bothered by my family and I could study and draw to my little hearts content. :D I usually fall asleep around 6-ish and won't wake up until 4-5-ish pm.

Oh, my sleeping habits are bad. I never go to sleep before 3am. I just can't. Not tired yet. Doesn't matter if I got up at 6:30 the previous morning. I usually get about 2 hours of sleep on a school day. I try getting more but most of the time the effort is futile. More than a couple times have I gone to school still awake from the day prior. On the weekends or days I don't go to school, I sleep 12 sometimes more hours though. Getting to sleep is the problem with me, not staying.

If left to myself with no outside influence, I tend to go to bed around sunrise. When I was on summer break as a kid, I would stay up all night and wander around my middle-class white neighbourhood wearing all black (this is what I wore during the day, too). I work nights now, with a shift starting at 11pm, which means I have to leave my house around 9:30pm.

The last couple of weeks have been weird for sleep. I'll go for a day or two where I can barely sleep, then it will be like I can't get enough sleep. I slept for nine hours yesterday, got up, and went to back to bed a few hours later, sleeping another five hours or so. That was an hour ago... but I'm having the urge to go back to bed now. Fortunately, Sunday is the declared veg day.

I don't even know anymore. Being a night worker, usually I'll come home around 7:30 AM, diddle a little (hey, I like that!) and do what needs to be done, then conk at 9 or 10. I'm back up at 4 or 5 PM to get to work at 7. Tomorrow, since it's the last day of the week (kinda), I may either conk right as I get home, or stay up as long as I can to make Tuesday a full day. I'll stay up as long as I can on Tuesday night so I can get up as late as I can on Wednesday afternoon for work that night.

Got all that?

I adapt, time-wise.

However, I *NEED* at least 7 hours of sleep... or else at the first sign of a percieved safe chance (which tends to be during lectures, unfortunately), my brain will just conk out for 15 minutes. I feel like the minority here, given every other college student seems to get away with 3 or 4.

My sleep patterns are all over the place. I get up when I have to i.e. for work or if I have to be somewhere. My work hours are in shift patterns. I will have a week of earlies (8am - 4.30pm), a week of mid shifts (11am - 7.30pm) and a week of lates (1.30pm - 10pm). So obviously I have to get up to suit them. At weekends though, I will tend to stay up on a Friday night until about 6-7am and then go to bed and not get up until about 2-3pm. I will do the same on sundays unless I am meeting my dad and sister in which case I will get up about midday - 1pm. I cannot seem to have a regular sleep pattern but I have to say, it really doesn't bother me that much.

Irregular I tend to bounce all over the place from hardly sleeping at all to sleeping for 12+hours or at least wanting to. When I do sleep I wake up a lot. Even had a sleep study done with inconclusive results.

I have few outside influences living away from family, now that I'm no longer in school (I don't work). If I get 4 hours sleep, then I make it up next time with 10 hours plus a 2-hour nap. Studies I've done listing times I went to bed & woke up reflect my shifting pattern. I generally go to sleep around sunrise & get up around sundown, but it rotates. At some point (every few weeks), I do the opposite, sleeping at night & being up during the day. I tend to go to sleep & wake up later & later each day, instead of following a 24-hour cycle. It's confusing but it feels right for me.

All over the map. Sometimes, I seem to be on London Time, and I wake up, at one in the morning. Sometimes I seem to be on Hawaii Time, and I don't feel tired until Midnight and I wake up at eight in the morning. Sometimes, I'm on Pacific Time, and I stick to my ten to six sleeping scheduel. It's very strange.

I keep going to bed between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. each morning, and waking up after 12:00 p.m.; I've been trying to break this pattern, because it just leaves me wasted each day. So far it's been seemingly hopeless, though.

I also go to bed early in the morning (3-4am). I will wake up around noon or later. I work at 2pm so I really have no day at all because of this sleeping pattern. This has been going on since I finished highschool six months ago.
